November Blog Hop: Gift Tags!

Welcome to my blog! You should have hopped over from Sami's Blog. Today the Go Stamp It Sisters are featuring gift tags made from Stampin' Up! products. I created two Christmas tags that I'm very excited to share with everybody!

Season of Style or Winter Frost? I decided to make one for each of the amazing color combos in the new holiday mini.  They both use one of my favorite stamp sets from the mini, Christmas Messages. The bold and interesting fonts are on the front of a few of my Christmas cards this year and hopefully we'll get to share those next month. I plan on making a bunch of these to go on Christmas presents along with some handmade paper bows!

This tag was really fun to make. I knew I wanted the "oh what fun" stamp on one of my tags, not just because of the really cute font, but it has the perfect opportunity for a candy dot on the exclamation mark. My Bigshot came in handy with both of these tags. I used the Chalk Talk framelits and the Delicate Doilies sizzlits. Some Designer Series Paper and a Baker's Twine bow finish it off!

While I didn't use the Winter Frost DSP on this tag, the blues and silvers inspired me to create this one. I could easily see the Island Indigo or Pool Party layer being replaced with the specialty paper. Festive Flurries and the Bitty Banner framelits were used along with some silver glimmer paper and rhinestones.

Is it bad that this is the first time I actually used the Delicate Doilies sizzlits since I bought them months ago? I guess I was waiting for the perfect opportunity to use it!

It's a little hard to see in this picture but I actually colored the rhinestones with an aqua-colored Sharpie. I love coloring Stampin' Up! rhinestones and pearls to make them pop a little more!

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to leave me a comment below telling me which is your favorite tag. I hope you enjoyed my project today and head on over to Jessica's blog.

August Blog Hop: Halloween!

Welcome to my blog! You should have hopped over from Denise's blog. Today the Go Stamp It Sisters are featuring Halloween projects! I made this fun card with lots of awesome Stampin' Up! products.

I absolutely love this button, but even though it isn't in the new annual catalog, I had a couple left over from my April Paper Pumpkin kit so I thought I would use it on this card. A little linen thread was tied in the center, however, you could easily swap it out with some baker's twine if you wanted a different look! The Happy Halloween stamp came from the Delightful Dozens stamp set on pg. 27 of the annual catalog. I used my Stampin' Write markers to "color" the stamp.

The Tangerine Tango chevron paper is actually from last year's Howlstooth and Scarringbone DSP, but could be replicated with the Positively Chevron background stamp on pg. 126. I cropped the circle with the 2-1/2" circle punch. Behind that is a layer of Basic Black cardstock that was textured using the polka dot embossing folder. On top of the Very Vanilla background is a piece of Smokey Slate cardstock with three Tangerine Tango Candy Dots.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my project today and please feel free to leave me a comment below. The next stop on the blog hop is Linda's blog

July Blog Hop: Around the World

Welcome to my blog! You should have hopped on over from Caren's blog. I loved her projects! Today we will be featuring the stamp set Around the World from the new Stampin' Up! catalog found on page 48.

I made two projects to share with you all today. The first is a simple card and the other is a cute bookmark.

This card came together in a matter of minutes with the help of the new note cards and envelopes bundle Stampin' Up! sells on page 162. Perfect for the busy stamper! I stamped each of the three images on a separate sheet of Whisper White cardstock and then cut them out with my paper snips. Dimensionals go behind them to make the card not look so flat. Some linen thread was wrapped around a Whisper White piece of cardstock that I trimmed to fit the card. The button came from the Naturals Designer Buttons pack on page 169. I really wanted to use the airplane that came with the stamp set, and when I couldn't incorporate it into the card, I just decided to stamp it on the envelope!

I don't know why, but when I was trying to think of a project to make for the blog hop, I instantly thought of a bookmark! I stamped the three images on Whisper White cardstock and then cropped them out with the 1-1/4" Circle punch. Each of the circles were distressed with a sponge and some Smokey Slate ink. The Real Red base was heat embossed using Pool Party embossing powder and the Positively Chevron background stamp. After rounding the corners, I used the Chalk Talk framelits to make a hole at the top to tie some Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.

Here is a closer look at the heat embossed chevron print.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my projects and please leave me a comment below and tell me which one was your favorite. Now hop on over to Denise's blog! I can't wait to see what she has made :)

Heat Embossed Swallowtail Card

The second I saw this stamp set in the Spring Mini I fell in love. All of the intricate details within the stamp get amplified with the new Pool Party Embossing Powder. Simply gorgeous!

To give the card some contrast, I stamped the butterfly on Island Indigo cardstock, which was then layered on top of a square piece of Pool Party cardstock.

This sentiment comes from the stamp set Fabulous Phrases, a favorite of mine! I stamped it in Calypso Coral ink and then cropped it out with the modern label punch. Beneath that is a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock  using the Petite Curly Label Punch.

New Catalog Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog! Today is our first ever Go Stamp It blog hop and we are very excited to show you products from the new Stampin' Up! catalog. Please leave me a comment below and tell me what you think of my cards today!

You should have hopped over from Caren Curtis' blog. Here is my project:

So I could not decide which one of these projects to show everybody so I thought I would post both! The first is a mini z-fold card using a few of the new In Colors (Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, and Crisp Cantaloupe) along with some Stampin' Up! Champagne Glimmer Paper. The base of the card was stamped using the new Mosaic Madness stamp set in Baked Brown Sugar ink. Slide the belly band off and there is room for a quick note inside!

The next card I made was inspired by the one in the new Stampin' Up! catalog on page 72. Here is my own take using the new In Colors Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush, and also a never before seen color, Smokey Slate. The sentiment can easily be switched out for a wedding, anniversary, or thinking of you. I used the same stamp from the mini z-fold card, but I cropped the mosaics out using the coordinating Mosaic punch. Stampin' Up! Rhinestones add just enough sparkle to this simple card.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my projects add how versatile these stamp sets can be. Leave me a comment below and then hop on over to Samantha Brown's Blog!

Mosaic Madness Card

Today's card features a few of the new In Colors from the 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! catalog. I used Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, and Baked Brown Sugar. Creating a mosaic pattern has never been easier, and with the coordinating stamp and mosaic punch, this card only took a few minutes to make.

I absolutely love the stamp set Fabulous Phrases which is where I found the friend sentiment from. I stamped it in Strawberry Slush, also a new In Color. The rhinestones in the center of each mosaic piece add some extra sparkle to this card.

Friend Card with Retiring In Colors

With only a few supplies, I put this card together in no time at all. I used my Simply Scoring Tool to add lines to the Crumb Cake card base.

The friend stamp came from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set, also one of my go-to stamp sets.

This gorgeous flower was made by layering pieces of Island Indigo and Pool Party cardstock, which I stamped in the same color on each using the Mixed Bunch stamp set, and then cropped with the Blossom Punch. The Calypso Coral layer was created using the smallest flower in the Floral Frames Framelits Dies and Calypso Coral Designer Series Paper. I also used the same sheet of 12x12 paper to make a coordinating envelope. The center is a Vintage Faceted Button with some linen thread.

Sunshine and Sprinkles Card

This card is perfect for someone needing a pick-me-up! This fun designer series paper Sunshine and Sprinkles has lots of bold and fun prints that will add splashes of vibrant colors to any project.

The Striped Organdy Ribbon in Marina Mist adds a soft touch to this card. It also comes in Old Olive and Melon Mambo.

One of my favorite greeting stamp sets is Friendly Phrases used here on this card. I love the font with this paper!
